Job summary

The Office of Mariana Mazzucato at the UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose is seeking a Digital Engagement Assistant to maintain the Director’s digital presence and external engagement. You will coordinate social content, manage the Substack newsletter, and support events and profile updates to align with policy work.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating social media across multiple platforms.
• Ability to translate academic content into engaging digital communications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in economics and public policy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate weekly social media plans with the Director's team and comms.
• Monitor and curate the Director's online channels for alignment.
• Edit social media content for clarity, impact and voice.
• Maintain the Director's media library and asset access.
• Create visual assets for social media and campaigns using design tools.
• Support video content strategy across YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.
• Coordinate updates and publishing of the Substack newsletter.
• Update profiles on Google Scholar and speaking databases.
