Job summary

Liverpool City Council is seeking an Assistant Digital and Data Planning Officer to help shape the City’s Planning Service for a more digital, open data driven future. The role supports delivery of digital tools and customer focused improvements.

You will work across planning teams to drive a digital strategy aligned with the Corporate plan, improve access to information, and build collaborative networks with other authorities while supporting efficient, data driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Assist with digital planning across the Planning Service to improve access to open data and streamline processes.
• Drive the digital agenda to provide a more streamlined, cost-effective planning service.
• Produce a digital strategy for the service aligned with the Corporate plan to enable a first-class planning service.
• Improve the user experience by making planning information easier to find and understand.
• Harness digital technology to improve access to planning information and data for planning decisions.
• Support design of a modern digital planning service by applying best practice and appropriate tools for digital engagement.
• Support decision-making with greater use of data and digital technology.
• Collaborate with other local authorities and stakeholders to build a network supporting digital tools in planning.
