Job summary

Hull City Council is seeking an ambitious leader to join the corporate leadership team as Assistant Director of Technology and Innovation, driving the council's digital, data, technology and innovation agenda.

You will lead the development of the Digital Strategy, empower services through technology, and oversee ICT operations, cyber security and major digital change programmes to deliver measurable improvements for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience leading digital transformation and organisational change.
• Senior leadership experience in a complex/public sector environment.
• Experience developing digital, technology and innovation strategies.
• Strong understanding of cyber security, information governance, and digital services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation and review of the Digital, Data, Technology and Innovation Strategy.
• Drive digital transformation and innovation across the Council.
• Oversee budgeting, governance and programme delivery for major technology investments.
• Engage stakeholders and elected Members to deliver strategic priorities.
• Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and data governance.
