West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA), Are you a creative storyteller with a talent for creating engaging content across a range of digital channels? We’re looking for someone to join our multi-award-winning Digital Communications team to help us bring our projects to life and reach new audiences in the West Midlands. As a Digital Communications Executive, you will be supporting the day-to-day management of a wide range of digital tools and channels, including TikTok and our website. Your role will be to support the delivery of a wide range of innovative and engaging digital communications strategies, that will raise awareness of our work, whilst establishing us as a recognised and trusted brand for the residents of the West Midlands. You’ll play a key role in delivering a content-first approach for our social media accounts, suggesting innovative - often entertaining or emotive treatments – to communicating the priorities of the West Midlands Combined Authority and the Mayor of the West Midlands. No two days are the same in this role. You could be taking photos at events, filming videos showcasing the impact of our work in the real world, making TikToks on public transport, engaging with community groups on social media or writing blogs to attract organic search traffic and everything in between. This is a great opportunity to be part of an innovative, ambitious and creative digital team. We need someone who has strong attention to detail, enjoys working collaboratively and is a creative thinker with a passion for the region.
The location for this role is 16 Summer Lane with at least 2 days a week spent in the office.
We advertise salary ranges, with new appointments typically starting at the lowest salary point. In exceptional cases, the salary point may be adjusted to secure the best candidate. This approach allows for potential year-on-year salary increases, offering progression and appropriate rewards to employees.
