Job summary

Airbus S.A.S. in Filton offers a Digital Degree Apprenticeship with a full BSc (Hons) in Digital and Technology Solutions. The programme runs 4 years with a regular salary and study aligned with Weston College and University of the West of England.

You’ll rotate through Flight Physics, Fuel & Landing Gear Testing, and Digital Airframe while building deep technical expertise. The role blends academic study with on‑the‑job experience and a strong emphasis on learning, integrity, and inclusion,

Qualifications

• 3 A-Levels as grade C/4 or above, preferably in Maths, Sciences and IT.
• OR T Level in an IT/Digital subject at Merit or above.
• OR BTEC L3 Extended Diploma in an IT/Digital subject, at minimum MMM grade.
• AND Minimum of 4 GCSEs including English Language and Maths - Grade 4/C or above.
• Please note that, due to the funded nature of this programme, applicants with undergraduate degrees in computing/IT are not eligible.
• Enjoys solving mathematical or science problems through coding.
• Some previous experience of coding and/or Linux/cloud;
• The ability to work well in a team;
• Not afraid to get "stuck-in" and learn;
• Proactive, love to learn and be able to focus on your own self development;
• Ability to manage problems, communicating effectively to resolve them in a fast-paced environment.
• This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

• What you will be doing: Our Digital Degree Apprenticeship offers a full degree with no fees, plus vocational training with a regular salary.
• Airbus is leading the way with this unique 4 year programme through which you will achieve a BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions.
• You will be studying via our training partner, Weston College (UCW), and your degree will be accredited by the University of the West of England.
• Your industry based work takes place at our world leading aircraft manufacturer site in Filton, Bristol.

Job description

Key activities of the industry based work of this apprenticeship include:

• Contributing to new and innovative software which is used in the overall aircraft design, testing or optimization processes;
• Working on software solutions to support design & manufacturing of physical aircraft as well as in-service aircraft;
• Participate in all phases of the application development life cycle including research and design, development, testing, implementation and support;
• Interface with engineers and IT specialists to provide solutions to business needs.
  In order to be eligible for this apprenticeship you must have a minimum:
• 3 A-Levels as grade C/4 or above, preferably in Maths, Sciences and IT;
• OR T Level in an IT/Digital subject at Merit or above;
• OR BTEC L3 Extended Diploma in an IT/Digital subject, at minimum MMM grade;
• OR Equivalent qualifications/Experience subject to validation;
