Job summary

Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an administrator to provide essential support for Home Enteral Feeding services. You will handle patient correspondence and service documentation, assist with ordering and stock distribution, and liaise with suppliers and patients in line with local procedures.

Role includes flexible Dietetics support across inpatient and outpatient settings, scanning, filing, and general admin tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative, practical and logistical support to Home Enteral Feeding services under the direction of registered dietitians and senior staff.
• Support the accurate processing of patient correspondence and service documentation using approved manual and electronic systems.
• Assist with ordering, receipt checking and distribution of enteral feeding products, pumps and equipment; maintain stock records.
• Liaise with approved suppliers, internal departments, patients and carers regarding routine non-clinical matters within approved boundaries.
• Support collection and entry of activity, stock, equipment and service data for monitoring, audit and reporting.
• Provide flexible Dietetics support across inpatient, outpatient and other Dietetics services; assist with clinics and general admin tasks.
• Support patient administration following appropriate training using relevant electronic systems (e.g., Lorenzo).
• Undertake routine patient-related tasks delegated by a registered dietitian after training and competency assessment.
• Follow instructions and care plans; maintain clear, accurate records; report concerns promptly to a registered practitioner.
• Communicate clearly with patients, carers and colleagues; maintain professional boundaries.
• Attend Trust induction, mandatory training and contribute to team meetings and service improvement activities.
• Work flexibly across Dietetics service areas and locations as required by service need.
