Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment Ltd are seeking a Diesel Fitter in Loanhead, Edinburgh. The role covers dismantling, repair and fitting on a range of Diesel Pumps, Gearboxes and Engines, with work split between the workshop and on-site visits in Edinburgh.

Candidates should be apprentice-trained in mechanical engineering, with diesel fitting experience and a full driving licence. The position features a 39-hour week and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained in mechanical Engineering.
• Previous experience in Diesel Fitting, ideally on Pumps or Engines.
• Confident in stripping, repairing and fitting mechanical components.
• Experience as a diesel fitter in the marine sector would be a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Split working between the company workshop and customer sites.
• Dismantle, diagnose and fitting on a range of Diesel Pumps and Engines.
• Undertaking repair work in the company workshop on Pumps, Gearboxes and Engines.
• Visiting customer sites across Edinburgh as and when required.
• Attending callouts for breakdowns as per company rota.
