Job summary

Bennett And Game Recruitment is seeking a Diesel Fitter for a well-established supplier of hydraulic and diesel pumps, based in Loanhead, Edinburgh. You will dismantle, diagnose and fit pumps, gearboxes and engines across workshop and customer sites.

The ideal candidate will be apprentice-trained in mechanical engineering with diesel fitting experience and a valid full driving licence. A marine sector background would be a bonus, and commuting distance to Loanhead is essential.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained in mechanical Engineering
• Previous experience in Diesel Fitting, ideally on Pumps or Engines
• Confident in your ability to strip repair and fit mechanical components
• Previous experience as a diesel fitter for the marine sector would be a bonus
• Based within a commutable distance of Loanhead, Edinburgh
• Full Driving licence - Non negotiable

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, diagnose and fitting on a range of Diesel Pumps and Engines
• Undertaking repair work in the company workshop on Pumps, Gearboxes and Engines
• Split working between the company workshop and customer sites
• Visiting customer sites across Edinburgh as and when required
• Attending callouts for breakdowns as per company rota

Position: Diesel Fitter

Location: Loanhead, Edinburgh

Rate: £16.93 (£34,334 per annum)

Diesel Fitter required for a well-established specialist supplier of hydraulic and Electric Submersible Pumps.

The successful Candidate will be undertaking Dismantling, repair and fitting responsibilities on a range of Diesel Pumps, Gearboxes and Diesel Engines.

It is envisioned that the successful candidate will come from a background in Marine or HGV Fitting, have completed a Mechanical apprenticeship and be based within a commutable distance of Loanhead, Edinburgh

• Full time, 39 hour week
• Monday to Thursday 8:00 - 16:30
• Friday 8:00 - 15:30
