Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment seeks a Diesel Pump Engineer for a Derby-based, East Midlands patch role, split between the workshop and customer sites across the region.

You will service, maintain and repair diesel pump equipment with full training provided, plus overtime opportunities. The role includes a company vehicle, fuel card and benefits, supporting long-term career progression within the specialist pumping industry.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering or fitting background.
• Experience with diesel engines, pumps, plant equipment or similar machinery.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willing to work across workshop and field-based roles.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair diesel-powered pump equipment
• Workshop and field-based role covering the East Midlands
• Inspect, prepare and test pump hire equipment ready for customer use
• Attend customer sites to install, service and maintain pumping systems
• Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs
• Carry out servicing on diesel engines and associated components
• Full training provided on specialist pump equipment
• Participate in an on-call rota
• Derby-based role covering the East Midlands region
