Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is recruiting a Diesel Fitter in Loanhead/Edinburgh. The role involves working both in the company workshop and at customer sites, dismantling, diagnosing and fitting diesel pumps and engines, and performing repairs on pumps, gearboxes and engines.

Applicants should be apprentice-trained in mechanical engineering with diesel fitting experience; a driving licence is mandatory. The position offers an hourly rate and a standard 39-hour week with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained mechanical engineer with hands-on diesel fitting experience.
• Experience on pumps or engines is essential.
• Ability to strip, repair and fit mechanical components to diagnose failures.

Responsibilities

• Split working between company workshop and customer sites.
• Dismantle, diagnose and fit on a range of Diesel Pumps and Engines.
• Undertaking repair work in the company workshop on Pumps, Gearboxes and Engines.
• Visiting customer sites across Edinburgh as required.

Diesel Fitter Job Overview

Diesel Fitter Job Requirements

• Apprentice trained in mechanical Engineering
• Previous experience in Diesel Fitting, ideally on Pumps or Engines
• Confident in your ability to strip repair and fit mechanical components
• Previous experience as a diesel fitter for the marine sector would be a bonus
• Based within a commutable distance of Loanhead, Edinburgh
• Full Driving licence - Non negotiable

• Monday to Thursday 8:00 - 16:30 Friday 8:00 - 15:30
