Description

Role:

Is for a skilled heavy diesel mechanic who has solid experience in the truck and trailer industry and a thorough knowledge of all things servicing, maintenance and repair.

You'll be working in a well equipped workshop with full unit pits and an epic team on the tools alongside you. These guys have built a large and loyal customer base which provides the opportunity to work on a varied fleet of old and new trucks across a range of different brands. Whether you're fresh out of your apprenticeship looking to gain experience or you are a seasoned vet keen to share your knowledge, this is the place to be.

There is no doubt about it this is a large team with a big name around town, but don't let the size fool you! This is a family oriented business where everyone (including the boss) knows your name, and you get out what you put in.

The cherry on top is their consistent workflow. Thanks to the longstanding relationships they have built over the years, these guys are always under the pump with overtime readily available.

The yard is based in Hornby, with standard working hours of Monday-Friday 8.00-4:30 (flexible) and optional Saturdays. Wages on offer are roughly $38-$45 per hour depending on experience.

What we are looking for:

• NZ Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering
• Solid experience in truck and trailer servicing and repairs
• Strong understanding and appreciation for H&S
• Ability to think on your feet and solve complex problems
• Great teamwork and communication skills
