Job summary

Snows Motor Group in Romsey is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Technician to join Snows Peugeot Romsey. You will perform diagnostic work, routine servicing, air-conditioning servicing, and general repairs while upholding brand standards and safety protocols.

You will liaise with customers, order parts, and provide accurate fault reports. The role requires City & Guilds/BTEC/NVQ qualifications and a proven track record in a franchise dealership, with a focus on teamwork and customer service.

Qualifications

• Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ accreditation.
• Previous work experience in a franchise dealership.
• Highly skilled in fault diagnosis.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Commitment to delivering first class customer service.
• Able to plan, organise self and meet agreed work deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine servicing of vehicles in accordance with brand technical standards.
• Undertaking air-conditioning system servicing and repairs.
• Working in accordance with brand and dealership processes.
• Ensuring that working environment is kept clean and devoid of any hazardous practices.
• Diagnosing and undertaking general repairs to vehicles including MOT repairs.
• Performing diagnostic investigations into vehicle electrical system faults with reports.
• Carrying out welding repairs to vehicles.
• Obtaining estimates and ordering car parts to resolve vehicle issues.
• Liaising with customers updating them on status of vehicle checks.

Your day

As a Diagnostic Technician,you will perform a variety of workshop work in an efficient and safe manner. The aim is to meet customer requirements and maximise workshop utilisation and productivity.

Your day will include:

• Performing routine servicing of vehicles in accordance with brand technical standards.
• Undertaking air-conditioning system servicing and repairs.
• Working in accordance with brand and dealership processes.
• Ensuring that working environment is kept clean and devoid of any working practice which may be hazardous.
• Diagnosing and undertaking general repairs to vehicles including MOT repairs.
• Performing diagnostic investigations into vehicle electrical system faults, providing reports on faults found.
• Carrying out welding repairs to vehicles.
• Obtaining estimates and ordering car parts in order to resolve the vehicle issues.
• Liaising with customers where appropriate updating them on the status of their vehicle checks.
