Hawk Hiring LTD is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic for their Newbury workshop. The role offers a high basic salary and Monday-to-Friday hours with zero weekend shifts.

Located in Newbury, the dealership provides official VAG manufacturer training (VW, Audi, SEAT, Škoda) and clear pathways for long-term growth, plus pension and tool insurance. You’ll work with EV/Hybrid tech and maintain high safety standards.

Qualificações

• NVQ Level 2/3 (or City & Guilds) with 1+ year experience as Vehicle Technician/Car Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence is essential; MOT Tester licence preferred but not required.
• F-Gas certification preferred or interest in obtaining it.

We are seeking a Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic looking for the ultimate career upgrade to join our modern workshop facility in Newbury. Your Role

As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Newbury workshop, you will:

• Execute expert maintenance & repairs across the VAG (Volkswagen Group) vehicle range to strict manufacturer standards.
• Utilize dealer-level diagnostic equipment to systematically locate, investigate, and repair complex electronic and mechanical faults.
• Work directly with modern EV & Hybrid technology, including the latest high-voltage systems and electric drivetrains.
• Deliver first-time fixes while maintaining clean digital job records and collaborating with a supportive technical team.

What You Need

• Qualifications & Experience: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds equivalent) with 1+ years of experience as a Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, or Junior Technician. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
• Licensing: Full UK driving licence is essential. An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.
• Equipment & Mindset: Must possess your own hand tools for daily workshop duties. Passion for VAG marques, strong diagnostic mindset, pride in clean workmanship, and a desire for long-term career growth.
