Job summary

Capita Fire Service College is seeking a DFRP Training Instructor/Assessor to join the team. You will deliver high quality practical instruction, plan sessions and assess competence against standard criteria.

As SME you will contribute to course design and modernisation, maintain currency of skills and ensure safety with risk assessments. This permanent role offers stability and opportunities to impact learners across resilience-focused courses.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering instruction or training.
• Education/Assessor qualifications relevant to role.
• Respond to learners' needs as SME and learning practitioner.
• Contribute to course design, review and modernisation.
• Share peer-to-peer competency knowledge and best practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality practical instruction and training.
• Plan and deliver sessions aligned with standards to achieve learning outcomes.
• Provide training support as second instructor and ensure equipment is fit for purpose.
• Undertake practical assessment to confirm competence in tasks.
• Contribute to course design and modernisation as SME.
• Maintain currency of skills and qualifications in line with requirements.
