DevOps Engineer | S2 | Wealth Management & Insurance

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a DevOps Engineer to join our Wealth Management & Insurance Team.

You'll work within the technical team to help deliver and maintain the continuous delivery and deployment pipeline for our Projects and aid in our support of BAU activities. The opportunity would suit an experienced Java software engineer that wishes move into a DevOps position or an existing DevOps Engineer that wishes to expand their experience.

The difference you'll make:

  • Supporting the deployment of Project applications and BAU activities in the development pipeline
  • Supporting the Senior DevOps Engineer and Technical team with all pipeline activities in all environments
  • Representing the Team at Change Control forums and delivering supporting documentation
  • Working to the priorities envisaged by the Technical Lead and Project Managers
  • Providing problem solving support with the deployment process
  • Supporting the wider team in deployment activities, as required
What you'll bring:

These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:
  • Involvement in setting up the CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins and Kubnetes with Java applications
  • Experience with development, testing, deployment, systems/infrastructure, and project teams to ensure continuous operation of build and test systems
  • Experience of implementing end to end of the product, from development to production
It would also be nice for you to have:
  • Experience on RedHat OpenStack (IaaS) and OpenShift (PaaS) solutions
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services
  • Experience with Monitoring Tools, Dynatrace and/or Elastic Search
  • Experience using Jira as ticket tracking and workflow tool
What else you need to know:

This permanent role is based in Unity Place - Milton Keynes.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).

1st Stage - Technical Interview - this will a 30min technical interview with one of the team

2nd Stage - A one-hour formal interview where we will ask both technical and competency-based questions. This can be done virtually or face to face depending on your situation.
