The role sits within the Cyber Fraud Fusion Team, who are working to apply cyber threat intelligence and analysis derived from fraud cases against Santander’s controls to identify where changes are required.

You will be responsible for managing, identifying, and mitigating cybercrime threats targeting Santander customers, coordinating actions and solutions to reduce Fraud losses, and driving collaboration with law enforcement and the financial industry.

The difference you’ll make:

  • Delivering a reduction of Cyber-enabled fraud across Santander and the financial sector
  • Working on developing an optimised operating model between Cyber and Fraud teams for intelligence-driven defence, prevention, and detection
  • Reporting to the Cyber Fraud Fusion Manager and the Head of Cyber Threat Management within the CISO function
  • Mapping cyber methodologies to fraud losses for a threat led approach
  • Analysing and producing fraud kill chains and mitigation scorecards
  • Driving collaboration with industry partners and law enforcement colleagues to enable Santander to combat cybercrime at an industry level


What you’ll bring:

These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:

  • Experience working within intelligence collection, analysis, or cyber-enabled fraud investigations with a good working knowledge of relevant criminal law
  • Good understanding of fundamental Cyber methodologies such as the Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK framework
  • Able to develop and produce internal and industry reporting
  • Experience in working with trust groups, law enforcement and government agencies
  • Degree and/or technical qualification or equivalent
  • Experience within Cyber Threat Intelligence

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Industry recognised qualification in Cyber Threat Intelligence (e.g., SANS, CREST) or similar field
  • Experience of working on live investigations and engagements with law enforcement or government teams
  • Current holder of or eligible to achieve UK security clearance
  • Prior experience of working in a Fraud/Cybercrime function

This is a permanent role based in Milton Keynes.
