Job summary

VanRath is seeking a DevOps Engineer / Cloud DevOps in Belfast. The role focuses on designing and improving CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure (Azure or AWS) and implementing IaC with Terraform. Hybrid working is offered, with standard Monday–Friday hours.

You will automate deployments using PowerShell, Python or Bash, monitor performance and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize delivery.

Qualifications

• Job Title: DevOps Engineer / Cloud DevOps
• Salary: £45,000-£60,000 - open to discussions based on experience
• Location: Belfast
• Contract: Permanent, full-time
• Work Pattern: Monday-Friday, standard operational hours (hybrid working)

We're working with an organisation in Belfast that is looking to strengthen their DevOps team.

You'll be working across cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD and modern software delivery, with the chance to contribute to the improvement and scalability of development and operational environments.

What You'll be Doing

• Designing, maintaining and improving CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, testing and deployment.
• Managing and supporting cloud infrastructure, particularly within Azure or AWS environments.
• Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or similar.
• Automating operational processes using PowerShell, Python, Bash or similar scripting languages.
• Monitoring system performance, availability and reliability, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Working closely with development and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot issues and improve deployment processes.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BSc/BEng) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computing or a related field of study
• Commercial experience working within a DevOps, Cloud, Platform or Infrastructure Engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and tooling such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Experience with Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
