Job description

Who we are looking for:

A key enabler to our continuous improvement ambitions is automation. This role will involve scoping where automation can improve our DevOps infrastructure and ways of working, and driving these changes through the delivery team.

You will also ensure that appropriate levels of monitoring and alerting are set up for all applications across our Azure based cloud platform. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in building a cloud native, micro service-based publishing platform in the medicines' information field.

How you'll have an impact:

On Datapharm:

By optimising automation and CI/CD processes, this role will drive efficiency, scalability, and innovation, empowering Datapharm to maintain its competitive edge in delivering cutting-edge medicines information.

On the wider team:

Through collaboration and shared best practices, this role will foster a culture of continuous improvement, enhancing team cohesion and ensuring seamless integration across development, operations, and quality assurance teams.

On the customer:

By ensuring high availability, performance, and secure platforms, this role will directly contribute to a superior customer experience, enabling the delivery of reliable, accessible, and high-quality services.

What you'll need to succeed:

You should be highly technical and analytical, possessing 3+ years of DevOps and development experience.

Strong demonstrable experience in:

  1. Azure DevOps CI/CD tooling (pipeline/infrastructure as code)
  2. Provisioning and working with Azure PaaS infrastructure with Terraform and ARM templates or equivalent technologies
  3. At least one high level computer software language, e.g., C#
  4. Application Performance Monitoring
  5. Incident Management, including incident response, root cause analysis and post-mortem processes

Proficient with:

  1. PowerShell, Azure CLI
  2. GIT, JavaScript, JSON, XML, YAML

Experience with:

  1. Distributed architectures
  2. Container technologies
  3. Maintaining and deploying highly available, fault tolerant systems at scale
  4. Dotnet development utilising the Azure Cloud Platform
  5. Software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies
