Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Building Surveyor (Condition Surveys) for a South West property consultancy. The role covers site-based surveys across Devon with hybrid/flexible working, and involves preparing detailed reports on building fabric, defects, and maintenance needs.

Requirements include a Building Surveying degree (HNC/HND), at least 3 years in surveying, knowledge of Building Regulations and Safety, and progress toward RICS Chartered Membership; P402 asbestos qualification

Qualifications

• A degree in a building surveying-related subject (HNC/HND).
• Experience in building fabric condition surveying of commercial buildings (minimum 3 years).
• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and Health & Safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed condition surveys on public sector buildings across Devon.
• Inspect and record condition of building elements, defects, risks, and maintenance needs.
• Carry out asbestos compliance checks and prepare comprehensive survey reports.
• Assist in planning and budgeting for Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
• Prepare schedules of condition for leases or acquisitions and liaise with clients.
