Xplor in the United Kingdom is seeking a Device & Merchant Technology Manager to own the payment device lifecycle, performance, controls and strategy. You will work with Business Units, Payments and manufacturers to oversee POS Portal’s configuration, warehousing, fulfilment, reporting and returns services supporting growth and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience managing payment terminals or hardware estate at scale in payments/fintech.
• Strong vendor management and communication across units and partners.
• Knowledge of device lifecycle, fulfilment, inventory controls.
• Ability to turn performance data into actionable insights.
• Experience with POS Portal or similar provider across geographies.
• Knowledge of SmartPOS, integrated commerce, terminal tech, PCI DSS and device security.

Responsabilités

• Own device lifecycle from forecasting and purchasing through deployment, support, returns and retirement.
• Maintain accurate serial-number records and monitor device performance and stock costs.
• Be main BU contact for device needs, translating requirements into delivery plans.
• Lead migrations, track progress, risks and timelines.
• Govern vendor relationships, SLAs and KPIs with reviews on service and costs.
• Resolve escalations, drive root-cause improvements and coordinate manufacturers.
• Coordinate software, firmware and security updates with teams and vendors.
• Support terminal launches, certification and roadmap-aligned upgrades.
• Improve installation and onboarding with clear playbooks and service expectations.
• Act as senior escalation point for complex device issues and trend analysis.
• Maintain PCI/security controls and support audits and remediation.
• Track device costs, vendor charges and opportunities for cost optimization.
• Develop device estate strategy, evaluate SmartPOS and unattended solutions.
• Drive automation and scalability across device management processes.
