Job summary

Xplor UK is seeking a Manager for Device & Merchant Technology to own the device lifecycle, from forecasting to retirement, across Xplor’s payments ecosystem. You will collaborate with Business Units, Payments and vendors to deliver reliable terminal services aligned with our roadmap.

You will lead migrations, manage vendor relationships, enforce security and PCI DSS controls, and drive cost efficiency while ensuring service continuity and strong cross-functional governance across the UK

Qualifications

• Experience managing payment terminals, hardware or a comparable technology estate at scale in payments/merchant operations.
• Strong vendor management and communication across Business Units and external partners.
• Knowledge of device lifecycle management, fulfilment, inventory and operational controls.
• Experience with acquiring, PayFac or payment processing across geographies is a plus.
• Familiarity with PCI DSS and device security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own the device lifecycle from forecasting and purchasing through deployment, support, retirement and refurbishment; oversee delivery against Xplor’s requirements.
• Maintain accurate serial-number records and monitor device performance, availability and condition.
• Be the main business-unit contact for device needs, translating requirements into delivery plans with POS Portal and internal teams.
• Lead migrations with each Business Unit, managing timelines, communications, readiness and service continuity.
• Own device operating model and POS Portal relationships, ensuring contract commitments and KPIs are met through reviews.
• Resolve escalations and drive root-cause improvements with manufacturers and partners.
