Job summary

Objectway, an international wealth, banking and asset management software provider, seeks a Development & Support Analyst to join in Birmingham or London. You will work on the eXimius Back Office Wealth Management application, participating in development, support and testing within an Agile framework.

The role involves client interaction, defect management, testing, deployment support and environment refreshes. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Review and analysis of client specifications.
• Estimation and production of development proposals.
• Building new software in line with client specifications.
• Performing solution testing to ensure system integrity.
• Servicing defect management activities.
• Working within a Scrum team.
• Defect management in production environments.
• Responding to customer support tickets and progressing to resolution.
• Debugging software and applying fixes.
• Assistance to customers on correct system usage.
• Attend meetings with the customer to prioritise defects.
• Produce defect tracking and SL reports.
• Development work for minor product enhancements.
• System administration activities.
• Deployment to production and test environments.

Development & Support Analyst

To be involved primarily in the development, support and testing of the eXimius Back Office Wealth Management application.

eXimius Back Office Wealth Management is designed for the challenges of today’s demanding investments & securities industry. In the current environment, success requires investment managers to keep pace with rapid-fire challenges such as continuing changes in legislation, increasingly demanding customers, and new business processes and investment products. The eXimius Back Office Wealth Management application provides advanced tools and technology to manage these challenges delivering a platform for modern investment management with state-of-the-art capabilities.

Working in a fast-paced development environment, the candidate will be involved in all aspects of the Agile development lifecycle from estimation through to build, test and support of the product.

The role is ideally suited to someone with a background, or an interest in the financial sector.

The successful candidate will be serving some of the biggest name clients in the financial sector, therefore commitment and attention to detail is essential. There will be opportunities for client site visits and client engagement, hence excellent communication skills are necessary. They will have good problem‑solving skills and will work in a team environment, on a wide variety of business & technical issues. If you have these qualities, we would like to meet you.

Your role includes

• Review and analysis of client specifications
• Estimation and production of development proposals
• Building new software in line with client specifications
• Performing solution testing to ensure system integrity
• Servicing defect management activities
• Working within a Scrum team
• Defect management Activities in Customer Production Environments
• Responding to support tickets logged by the customer and progressing these through to resolution.
• Debugging Software and applying data or product fixes where appropriate
• Assistance and advice to customer on correct usage of the system to meet customer business needs
• Attend regular Meetings with the customer to prioritize and track open defects.
• Produce Defect Tracking and Service Level Reports for the customer
• Development work for Minor Product Enhancements
• Review, and analysis of client specifications
• Estimation and Production of development proposals
• Building new software in line with client specifications
• Performing solution testing to ensure system integrity
• System Administration Activities
• Assisting the customer with refresh of test environments.
• Undertake Application Software Deployment to Production and Test Environments.
• Upgrade/Implementation Activities
• Ratification and implementation of new software versions.
• Support of Customer User Acceptance Testing.

Requirements

• Up to 5 years’ experience programming in any software technology.

• An understanding and good working knowledge of the following core elements: HTML,Javascript,SQL.
