Software Developer

To strengthen our team in Birmingham or London we are currently looking for a Software Developer. The successful candidate will be involved in the development, support and testing of the eXimius Back Office Wealth Management application.

The eXimius Back Office Wealth Management application is designed for the challenges of today’s demanding investments & securities industry. Working in a fast‑paced development environment, you will participate in all aspects of the Agile development lifecycle from estimation through to build, test and support of the product. The role is ideally suited to someone with a background or interest in the financial sector.

You will be serving some of the biggest name clients in the financial sector, and will have opportunities for client site visits and engagement. Excellent communication skills, problem‑solving ability and a team‑oriented attitude are essential.

Your role includes

• Review and analysis of client specifications
• Estimation and production of development proposals
• Building new software in line with client specifications
• Performing solution testing to ensure system integrity
• Servicing defect management activities
• Working within a Scrum team

Requirements

• Up to 5 years’ experience programming in any software technology
• Quick learner receptive to new technologies and practices

• Previous experience with any of the following would be an advantage: JasperSoft Reporting, report template design, data modelling, software development using Python, automated software testing, cloud deployment/containerisation, working within a DevOps model
