Job summary

Chime Housing is recruiting a Development Officer to join the Land & New Business team in Watford. The role focuses on acquisition, feasibility and planning for new build homes, contributing to growth plans.

The role supports delivery across new homes, property disposal and new business opportunities, with responsibilities including scheme appraisals and coordination with consultants and JV partners. 37 hours weekly, salary £30,000–£35,000.

Qualifications

• Experience in land, new business or development.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 including SharePoint.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
• Self-motivated, organised and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with leading in the delivery of new homes, including taking leadership activities in certain tasks, with the support of senior staff.
• Assist the Land & Partnerships Team Manager with project work in relation to the delivery of new homes.
• Manage and brief consultants and Joint Venture partners throughout development projects ensuring that agreed standards are met, that Chime Housing complies with all necessary legislation, and that value for money is achieved.
• Provide support to the Development Directorate, in the delivery of new homes, property disposal and new business opportunities.
• Carry out scheme appraisals, ensuring compliance with parameters and key metrics. Working collaboratively with Delivery, Sales and Aftercare at all stages, to prioritise the needs of customers and residents.
