Job summary

Chime Housing is seeking a Director of Finance based in Watford to shape the future of the merged organisation. You will work with the CFO and Executive Team to ensure robust financial stewardship, drive sustainable growth and deliver excellent services for residents.

You will lead financial reporting, budgeting and controls, embed best practice and support strategic decision-making across the partnership. This is a pivotal role at a leading Community Gateway housing association.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with senior finance leadership experience in regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Experience leading diverse teams through change and leveraging digital solutions.
• Commercial mindset with ability to engage stakeholders and translate financial data for senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, planning, budgeting and robust controls.
• Lead the finance team in embedding best practice and enhancing audit and year-end reporting during the merger integration.
• Oversee annual audit, statutory accounts and year-end processes with regulatory compliance.
• Oversee procurement activities with governance and value-for-money.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support strategic decision-making and business partnering.
