Job summary

Aneson Kroft Ltd invites applications for a Development Manager / Developer Surveyor to lead residential and hotel schemes across London and the M25 corridor. You will own schemes from feasibility, through planning, to delivery and completion, working in a lean, hands-on team.

The role requires demonstrable development management or surveying experience on residential and hotel projects, with strong planning, budgeting, stakeholder management, and a proactive, commercial approach.

Qualifications

• Experience as Development Manager or Developer Surveyor.

Development Manager / Developer Surveyor

Residential & Hotel Development London & M25 Corridor

We're partnering with a highly established, privately owned property and hospitality developer to appoint an ambitious Development Manager / Developer Surveyor.

With more than 50 years of experience, the business creates high-quality residential, hotel and mixed-use developments across London and the wider UK. Their portfolio includes luxury homes, complex conversions and restoration projects, alongside branded hotel schemes delivered in partnership with leading global operators.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a lean, hands‑on development team and take genuine ownership of schemes from initial appraisal and acquisition through planning, delivery and completion.

The role will include:

• Preparing development appraisals and supporting land/site acquisitions
• Managing design development alongside architects, consultants and construction teams
• Overseeing planning applications, discharge of conditions, Section 106 matters and appeals
• Managing development budgets, cashflow forecasts and project performance
• Coordinating utilities, Building Regulations, CDM and wider statutory requirements
• Monitoring site progress through regular visits and reporting across multiple schemes
• Supporting residential sales and marketing activity, alongside hotel brand, FF&E and compliance requirements
• Working closely with internal stakeholders and external consultants to drive quality, programme and commercial outcomes

We are looking for:

• Demonstrable experience as a Development Management / Developer Surveying experience
• Proven exposure to both residential and hotel schemes
• Strong understanding of the development lifecycle, from feasibility through to completion
• Experience in planning, appraisals, consultant management and development finance
• A commercially aware, organised and proactive individual who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Excellent attention to detail, communication and stakeholder‑management skills
• Willingness to travel across London, the M25 corridor and occasionally further afield
