Job summary

Carrington West is assisting a local authority in the Midlands to recruit a Planning Officer for a 12-month contract, focusing on development management. The role requires prior DM case officer experience within a local authority or equivalent private practice, with strong knowledge of planning legislation and excellent negotiation skills.

A post-graduate degree in planning or related discipline and RTPI eligibility are advantageous. Flexible working is offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deal with a varied caseload of planning applications, primarily householder and minor applications.
• Work as part of Development Management team to hit ground running.
• Collaborate with other professionals and stakeholders to secure planning outcomes.
