Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council in Hamilton, Scotland, is seeking a Development Management professional to lead on core transport and road infrastructure projects. You will guide road design standards, drainage and construction methods while supporting policy development across the service.

The role requires knowledge of legislative frameworks, the ability to meet deadlines, and a driving licence to travel across the council area.

Qualifications

• Experience in road design standards, drainage and construction methods.
• Knowledge of legislative and technical aspects (e.g. Roads Construction Consent).
• Ability to work under pressure to deadlines within a specialist team.
• HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent; incorporated/chartered status or working towards it.
• Current driving licence to travel across the Council area.
