Job summary

A major engineering firm in Scotland is seeking a Design Manager - Roads to effectively manage and deliver design for Skye OHL and UGC projects. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in design services and exhibit strong leadership within a matrix organization. Responsibilities include managing design proposals, liaising with statutory bodies, and ensuring effective briefing of design teams. The role also emphasizes a focus on safety, quality, and sharing best practices across projects. Flexible working options are available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in delivering design services during development and construction.
• Experience with current construction contracts such as NEC3.
• Ability to manage design teams effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage development of design proposals ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
• Lead design deliverables programme and ensure timely reviews.
• Liaise with statutory bodies for approvals and manage change control.

Skills
