Job summary

Derbyshire Constabulary is seeking Transferee Detective Sergeant to join the Criminal Exploitation Team. You will lead investigations into County Lines, Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking, protecting vulnerable people at risk of exploitation.

You will supervise a hybrid team of Police Constables, Detective Constables and Detective Staff Investigators, developing intelligence and delivering proactive operations; you must gain PIP2 accreditation.

Qualifications

• Experience leading investigations into serious and complex crime.
• Ability to supervise and develop multi-role police teams.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and cross-border policing initiatives.
• PIP2 accreditation required or achievable in role.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into serious and complex crime and manage proactive intelligence to drive pre-planned and spontaneous enforcements.
• Build and motivate a high-performing team; delegate decisions and empower members.
• Drive, monitor and measure performance through regular check-ins and respond to performance accordingly.
