Job summary

Derbyshire Constabulary are seeking transferee Detective Constables to join our Child Sexual Exploitation Team. You will work as part of a specialist team, conducting high quality investigations to safeguard vulnerable individuals and bring offenders to justice.

You must be PIP 2 qualified (or working towards this accreditation) with a strong commitment to teamwork and delivering justice. For part time hours, the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis; eligibility includes Home Office

Qualifications

• Be a member of a Home Office force or Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) or Police Scotland (transfer eligibility rules apply).
• Have a full manual driving licence.
• Have no outstanding discipline or integrity issues.
• Be confirmed in rank.

Responsibilities

• Instigate, plan and conduct enforcement activity to detect and disrupt criminality from intelligence-led investigations.
• Undertake high quality investigations relating to child sexual exploitation and related missing episodes; focus on medium/high risk cases.
• Support parallel investigations into missing episodes of children assessed as Medium/High risk of sexual exploitation; pursue criminality.
