Lancashire County Council is seeking a Domestic Assistant for Thornton House, Thornton, Lancashire. This permanent, part‑time role is 17.5 hours per week with shifts 14:00–19:00.

You will perform general cleaning across communal areas and resident spaces, maintain hygiene standards, replace consumables, and report maintenance issues promptly to the management team. Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties across the building, including communal areas, offices, bathrooms, corridors, and resident areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and polish surfaces as required.
• Clean bathrooms and toilets to a high standard, ensuring hygiene and safety at all times.
• Replace consumables such as soap, towels, and toilet paper.
• Empty bins and manage waste disposal in line with organisational procedures.
• Follow designated cleaning schedules and maintain appropriate cleaning records.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with training.
• Report maintenance issues or concerns promptly to the management team.
• Work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and residents.
