Job summary

LCVS (Liverpool Charity & Voluntary Services) in Dovecot is seeking a Detached Youth Worker who brings creativity, energy and strong youth engagement skills to support young people’s development.

The post holder will build respectful, honest relationships with young people, co-design programmes for those with complex issues, and deliver detached and outreach work that supports health, wellbeing, education, and crime prevention.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a subject related to young people.
• Experience in detached/outreach youth work is desirable.
• Ability to co-design programmes with young people.

Responsibilities

• Deliver detached and outreach youth work programmes.
• Engage with hard-to-reach young people and build trust.
• Support development of physical health, emotional wellbeing and educational attainment; contribute to preventing youth crime.
