Job summary

YTL UK is seeking a senior asset and leasing professional to shape Brabazon’s retail, dining and leisure strategy in Bristol. You will lead occupier negotiations and curate a vibrant mix to create a destination people want to visit, live, and spend time in.

Working with development and design teams, you will ensure spaces work for operators and customers, manage the leasing pipeline, monitor performance, and drive value as Brabazon evolves into a dynamic mixed-use destination.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within retail, leisure, hospitality or mixed-use asset management, leasing, development or commercial placemaking.
• Track record of creating leasing strategies, influencing occupier mix and turning ideas into successful commercial outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of the retail, dining and leisure market, with an established network of operator and industry contacts.
• Experience negotiating heads of terms and managing lease transactions, with sound commercial judgement and risk understanding.
• Ability to balance big-picture strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and deal-making.
• Strong financial and analytical skills, including budgeting, business planning, appraisals and performance reporting.
• Experience working within mixed-use regeneration, town centre, destination or place-led developments would be highly advantageous.
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders, external advisers and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Understanding development, design and construction processes and how commercial requirements translate into successful places.
• A genuine passion for creating destinations where people want to live, work, eat, shop and spend their time.
• MRICS or a related qualification would be welcomed, but we’re equally interested in the experience, expertise and commercial instinct you’ve developed throughout your career.

Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver Brabazon's retail, dining and leisure strategy to define identity and attract visitors.
• Curate a blend of national brands, locals, food concepts and leisure operators.
• Build strong relationships across the market, engaging operators at Brabazon.
• Own leasing pipeline from initial conversations to heads of terms.
• Collaborate with development, design and construction to suit operators and customers.
• Influence unit layouts, servicing, public realm and customer experience.
• Lead occupier negotiations balancing performance with placemaking.
• Support operators through fit-out, handover and opening.
• Monitor performance: footfall, income and occupier success to maximise value.
• Drive asset-management initiatives: renewals, rent reviews, re-gears, relocations.
• Manage external agents and advisers, coordinating with YTL team.
