Are you a creative, personable and enthusiastic individual, looking for a new and varied challenge in marketing communications? Would you like to be actively involved in an exciting project that will transform North Bristol? If so, we have an exciting career prospect for you!
YTL Developments is looking for a highly motivated and effective individual to work closely with the Head of Marketing and Communications and Marketing and Sales Director, delivering first-rate marketing communications for Brabazon.
Brabazon is a 20-year project that will see the former Filton Airfield transformed into a thriving new neighbourhood and urban community for Bristol with over 6,500 new homes, creative workplaces and a vibrant town centre, set amongst landscaped public squares and parkland.
Significant investment will also be made to improve infrastructure, with a new railway station, Metrobus connectivity and dedicated cycleways being delivered.
Whether you\'re looking for a Fixed Term Contract (FTC) or a Permanent position, we welcome your application!
You will be a key member of the marketing team, responsible for all written communications across all marketing channels, from press releases and media relations to website blogs, email campaigns, sales brochures and customer communications. The ideal candidate will have a mix of skills to reflect the breadth of the role.
Your role and responsibilities will include:
The ideal candidate will have previously worked in a leading role in a professional PR, marketing communications or journalism environment, whether in an agency, in-house, or within a reputable media outlet or publisher.
You will have high-level experience in copywriting and content creation for a variety of audiences. In particular, you will have a clear track record of writing compelling and persuasive content for consumers and homebuyers – from attention-grabbing emails to compelling social media posts and click-worthy news stories – while also being able to engage business audience groups.
You will have some familiarity with the core principles and tools of digital marketing, particularly in relation to SEO, keyword research and social media. Some knowledge of effective ad copy for PPC/digital advertising would be an advantage. An intermediate to advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Office will be essential.
The successful candidate is likely to be degree-qualified and may have a post-graduate or professional qualification (such as Business or Marketing Studies, CIM Diploma, Google Digital Garage). Experience and familiarity with property development, construction or housebuilding would be advantageous but is not essential.
Arguably, the most important qualities that you will bring to this role will be personal. We\'re looking for strong team players with excellent time management skills. Someone who can multi-task and influence both up and down the management chain, with contacts within and outside of the organisation.
Someone who will invest time in coaching and mentoring junior staff, but can be relied upon to get the job done themselves if there\'s a hard deadline to meet.
In return, you will have autonomy and real influence in driving the marketing for the most exciting new city district in the South West.
