Job summary

YTL Developments (UK) Limited is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead the design process from inception to completion on major mixed-use developments in Bristol. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensure designs are fully coordinated, compliant and buildable, and drive value engineering to optimise cost and programme.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive experience in design management, and a solid understanding of Building Regulations and CDM.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a Design Management role on major construction or mixed-use development projects.
• Solid understanding of design, procurement and construction processes across all project stages.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary consultant teams and design coordination activities.
• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and Building Safety Act requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead design management from inception to completion across projects.
• Coordinate fully integrated, buildable, compliant designs aligned with programme.
• Manage multidisciplinary consultant teams and technical stakeholders.
• Review design information to ensure compliance with requirements and industry best practices.
• Monitor design programmes and milestone deliverables against plans.
• Identify and mitigate design-related risks across scope, cost and time.
• Facilitate design coordination, value engineering and buildability reviews.
• Support procurement through design development and technical tender evaluations.
• Ensure accreditation, approvals and statutory compliance for projects.
