Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe in Wirral is seeking a Despatch Operative to join our Bromborough site. You will be responsible for picking, packing, and dispatching orders, loading/unloading vehicles, and maintaining accurate stock records. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

The role requires computer literacy, good communication, and a proactive approach. PTO trucks experience is a plus; overtime and weekend premium rates apply.

Qualifications

• Computer literacy and quick learner abilities are required.
• Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt quickly.
• Experience in despatch/warehouse work is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick, prepare, and dispatch customer orders in line with company requirements.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Complete dispatch documentation and stock records accurately.
• Operate counterbalance and reach trucks safely and in accordance with site procedures.
• Carry out stock checks and assist with inventory control.
• Ensure products are stored, handled, and dispatched in line with quality and food safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Report stock discrepancies, equipment faults, or safety concerns promptly.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily operational targets.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Despatch Operative to join our team at the Bromborough site!
The successful candidate will be computer literate, possess good communication skills, and be a quick learner. This role involves manual handling duties, stock control, order preparation, and operating PPT trucks. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

• Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off
• Hours: 07:00am - 7:00pm

Key Responsibilities
