Job summary

CMbE CarnaudMetalbox Engineering (CMbE) is hiring a Despatch Operative at our Wortley site in Leeds on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will be responsible for picking and packing spare parts, equipment orders, and sub-contract parts.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will maintain a tidy, safe workspace, follow EHS practices, and communicate effectively with the Despatch team and other departments. Warehouse experience and system familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
• Proficient with warehouse scanning systems and computers.
• Counterbalance or reach truck licence is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack spare parts and equipment orders.
• Handle machine loose parts and sub-contract parts.
• Maintain tidy and safe work environment following EHS practices.

Your mission in CMbE

We have a new vacancy for a Despatch Operative based in Shipley. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for picking and packing of spare parts, equipment orders, machine loose parts & sub-contract parts. You will keep a tidy and safe working environment, following the company EHS practices. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills to communicate with the Despatch team and wider departments. The ideal candidate will be able to take initiative and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when problem solving.

About you

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a warehouse environment and will be proficient on Aras, IBS and JDE. A good understanding of computers and warehouse scanning systems will be required. An in-date counterbalance, reach or pivot steer truck licence would be advantageous.
