Job summary

CMbE CarnaudMetalbox Engineering (CMbE) in Wortley, Leeds, seeks Electrical Assembly Engineers on a 12-month fixed term contract.

You will produce, fit and test OEM quality on machines, work on wiring and assemblies, and apply safety standards. The role requires at least 2 years' OEM electrical experience and a Level 3 apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience within Electrical Assembly and testing of OEM machinery.
• Must hold a Level 3 apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrate knowledge of quality systems and electrical safe work procedures.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Produce, fit and test OEM quality on machines.
• Work on electrical wiring and assemblies to meet standards.
• Know electrical assembly and testing of large equipment to customer specs.
• Read complex schematic drawings and assemble control panels.
• Report hazards and maintain 6S standards of the workplace.
• Conduct scheduled cleaning and report machine/tool issues.

Job Description: We have a new vacancy for Electrical Assembly Engineers to be based at our site in Wortley, Leeds on a 12-month fixed term contract.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for producing, fitting and testing Original Equipment Manufacturer quality on machines.
• Work on electrical wiring and associated assemblies to ensure safety, uniformity and compliance with required standards.
• Knowledge of Electrical Assembly and testing of large equipment to meet customer requirements.
• Experience with complex schematic drawings and control panel assembly and connections.
• Proactive in reporting any hazards that may cause harm to yourself or colleagues and ensuring the working area is kept to the company’s 6’s standards.
• Conduct scheduled cleaning pit-stops efficiently and report any issues related to tooling, drawings, routings, or machine faults.

About you

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience within Electrical Assembly and testing of Original Equipment Manufacturer machinery (OEM).
• Must hold a minimum of a level 3 apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrate knowledge in using Quality systems and procedures including electrical safe systems of work and testing procedures.
• Prioritise workload whilst remaining calm under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving, mechanical and technical skills and ability to work autonomously.
• Ability to demonstrate a high quality of work, adaptability, make sound judgements and take initiative.
