Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is hiring for a Despatch/Loader role at our Yate site. You will load and unload inbound trailers of pallets and top boards, check for contamination, and handle returns. The role runs from 8am to 4pm with potential shift flexibility.

You’ll operate machinery safely under SSOW and contribute to quality checks, keeping your area tidy and compliant with safety rules. We value teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement as part of a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• FLT experience is essential.
• Commitment to high health and safety standards.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently.
• Inspect pallets and top boards for contamination and report issues.
• Operate designated machinery following SSOW.
• Maintain quality control and perform checks accurately.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Report equipment defects and maintenance needs to the Team Leader.
• Follow Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
