Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Windrush is seeking a Despatch Team Leader to manage day‑to‑day warehouse operations on a 3‑shift rotating pattern, ensuring safety, productivity and accurate goods movement.

You will coach your team to Health & Safety standards, lead shifts in line with SOPs and SSOW, perform quality checks and asset care, develop multi‑skilled colleagues and participate in the SKOPE program to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Comply with health and safety standards and report any near misses or incidents in accordance with Company Policy.
• Coach and develop your team to comply with Health & Safety standards.
• Lead shift to operate in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) to ensure high levels of performance and quality, reporting any issues promptly.
• Work in line with the site’s quality standards, undertaking quality checks as appropriate.
• Lead first level maintenance tasks/asset care on designated areas.
• Develop and train teams to become multi‑skilled.
• Active participation in the SKOPE program.
• Proactive problem‑solving approach to contribute to addressing any issues affecting operations.
• Effective communication to ensure that a high‑quality handover takes place.
