Job summary

DXC Technology in Yeovil is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to provide deskside and remote end-user support on-site at client locations. The role covers build, deployment, asset management, and VIP support, with occasional travel within the local area.

The 37.5-hour week includes overtime and on-call duties. Eligibility for SC Security Clearance is required due to client work, and a proactive, collaborative approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Deskside Support role with Windows 10/11.
• Strong hardware/software troubleshooting and escalation skills.
• Knowledge of SCCM, AD, Entra and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Desktop/Laptop/VDI build, deploy, and support for end users.
• Asset and peripheral deployments, hardware maintenance.
• VIP and client project support, L2/L3 assistance as needed.
• Occasional travel within the area for site coverage (2 hours max).
