Job summary

Adecco is recruiting on behalf of our educational client based in Workington for a temporary Desktop Support Engineer (1st/2nd line) to cover around 6 weeks.

The role is Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, delivering frontline IT services, maintaining records, and supporting the Digital Services department.

You will liaise with users to boost digital literacy and assist in reporting and compliance to funding bodies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver frontline IT support and admin duties within the Digital Services department.
• Maintain accurate manual and electronic records to meet funding bodies' evidence requirements.
• Assist the Deputy Manager - IT in delivering frontline services and admin duties within Digital Services.
• Monitor and produce reports on the digital service and resources; liaise with relevant personnel to ensure compliance with procedures.
• Liaise with all users and provide guidance in Digital Literacy Skills to maximise college system use.
• Provide support to the Digital Services team; ensure procedures are followed and deadlines met.

• To maintain appropriate and accurate manual and electronic records to ensure that the evidence requirements of funding bodies are met.
• To assist the Deputy Manager- IT in the delivery of both frontline services to customers and administrative duties within the Digital Services department.
• To monitor and produce reports on the digital service and resources and liaise with relevant personnel to ensure compliance with procedures.
• To liaise with all users and provide advice and guidance in Digital Literacy Skills where necessary to ensure that College systems are being used to best effect.
• To provide support to the Digital Services team, ensuring procedures are adhered to and deadlines met, undertaking routine communications, digital administration and other duties ensuring efficient and effective support to the College.
