Job summary

Adecco is recruiting on behalf of our educational client in Workington for a temporary IT role as a Desktop Support Engineer (1st/2nd line). The position is based in Workington, working Monday to Friday for 37 hours per week over approximately six weeks.

The role involves frontline IT support, record-keeping, and liaising with the Digital Services team to ensure efficient support to College systems.

Requirements:

• We are looking to recruit an IT candidate on a temporary basis for around 6 weeks.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver both frontline services to customers and administrative duties within the Digital Services department.
• Maintain appropriate and accurate manual and electronic records to ensure that the evidence requirements of funding bodies are met.
• Assist the Deputy Manager - IT in the delivery of both frontline services to customers and administrative duties within the Digital Services department.
• Monitor and produce reports on the digital service and resources, liaising with relevant personnel to ensure compliance with procedures.
• Liaise with all users and provide advice and guidance in Digital Literacy Skills where necessary to ensure that College systems are being used to best effect.
• Provide support to the Digital Services team, ensuring procedures are adhered to and deadlines are met.
• Undertake routine communications, digital administration and other duties to ensure efficient and effective support to the College.
