Responsibilities

Position Purpose: The primary focus is on global support of desktop and laptop systems, including break/fix service, OS and application loading, configurations, user settings, and administrative duties.

  • Collaborate across Business, IT Operations, IT Applications teams to resolve desktop issues, maintain configurations, and keep systems updated.
  • Resolve incidents via the Incident Management System, prioritizing and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Interface with partner teams to define application purpose, dependencies, standards, testing, and escalation points.
  • Follow best practices for desktop support with continuous improvement.
  • Perform hardware & software installs, desk moves, and changes as required.
  • Troubleshoot and assist users with hardware and application issues.
  • Participate in project UAT testing for desktop dependencies.
  • Work with IT Leadership to improve customer satisfaction.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Virtual Desktop Administration
  • Windows Desktop Administration (Win7/10)
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience with Service Desk, Application Support, and infrastructure teams
  • Ability to evaluate systems, prioritize, and solve problems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies
  • Ability to read technical manuals
  • Work extended hours, including weekends and evenings
  • Attention to detail and professionalism under stress
  • Effective team collaboration
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs

Preferred:

  • Experience in Desktop Support (2+ years)
  • Financial Services industry experience
  • O365, SCCM, Active Directory, LDAP, ADFS, PKI
  • Knowledge of security practices across platforms
  • ITIL processes

Education/Certifications:

  • Certifications such as A+, Network+, Microsoft, Dell, HP, etc.
