Job summary

Witherslack Group’s Turner Court in Bristol is seeking a Designated Safeguarding Lead to join the leadership team. You will oversee safeguarding, liaise with agencies, parents, and staff, and ensure wellbeing and child protection across the school.

You will bring at least 3 years in a DSL role, a comprehensive CPD portfolio, and outstanding interpersonal skills. A full UK driving licence is required, with a supportive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience in a Designated Safeguarding Lead role.
• Comprehensive CPD portfolio related to safeguarding.
• Outstanding interpersonal and problem-resolution skills.
• Genuine empathetic approach is essential.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead safeguarding within the school and liaise with statutory and non-statutory agencies, parents/carers and staff.
• Collaborate with other Witherslack Group teams to support pupils and ensure wellbeing.
• Provide guidance and expertise on safeguarding and child protection.
• Report to the Head Teacher and contribute to a safe, supportive learning environment.
