The role:

As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be an inspiring leader, creating a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support continuous coaching and development of your team while driving restaurant performance and achieving excellent results.

What you will do:

• Foster a positive environment where your team feels cared for and listened to, celebrating successes, and nurturing talent.
• Ensure an excellent guest experience by maintaining high standards in food preparation and safety, and equipping your team with necessary skills and mindset.
• Maintain impeccable food, health, and safety standards, and understand financial performance including gross profit, stock control, and labour costs.
• Build a coaching culture within your team, working with your Head Chef on recruitment and ongoing development.
• Be a proactive problem solver, making quick decisions on your feet.

What we look for:

• Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to have meaningful conversations and support your team.
• Proven experience in maintaining high standards of food safety and health standards.
• Understanding of financial aspects like gross profit and stock control.
• Ability to manage labour costs and adapt to changing demands.
• Leadership qualities that inspire and engage your team to grow professionally.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and valued.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions.
