Designate Senior Sous Chef | Birmingham West | Full Time

The Role:

As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be an inspirational leader, fostering a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support continuous coaching and development of your team, drive restaurant performance, and ensure excellent results.

What You Will Do:

  • Create a positive environment where your team feels cared for and listened to, celebrating successes and nurturing talent.
  • Ensure an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high standards in dish preparation and team skills.
  • Maintain spotless food, health, and safety standards, and understand kitchen financials including gross profit, stock control, and labour costs.
  • Build a coaching culture within your team, working with your Head Chef on recruitment and ongoing development.
  • Be a proactive problem solver, able to make quick decisions on your feet.

What We Look For:

  • Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of having considerate and supportive conversations.
  • Experience ensuring food safety and high standards.
  • Understanding of kitchen financials, including GP and stock control.
  • Ability to manage labour costs effectively.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire and engage your team.
  • Passion for creating an inclusive and respectful environment.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly.
