Job summary

Senploy is working with a thriving 11-16 secondary school in Cardiff to appoint a Design Technology teacher on a full-time, long-term sickness cover from October 2026. The school, rated Outstanding by Ofsted, offers a broad curriculum and well-resourced DT facilities.

You will plan and deliver engaging practical and theory lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, assess progress, maintain a safe learning environment, and support students to develop confidence and technical skills.

Qualifications

• Must have QTS or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Design Technology within a secondary setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and practical workshop skills.
• Excellent classroom management abilities.
• Ability to engage and motivate learners of all abilities.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Responsibilities
