Job summary

Academics is looking for a Design Technology Teacher to start in October 2026 or January 2027 at a thriving secondary school in Redhill, Surrey. This permanent/supply role offers a supportive environment within a forward-thinking trust and involves teaching DT to Key Stages 3 and 4.

You will plan engaging, practical lessons, assess student progress and contribute to curriculum development while taking part in wider school life.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status and strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology.
• Delivers engaging DT lessons and fosters practical, innovative learning.
• Uses assessment to support all learners and contributes to curriculum development.

Responsibilities

• Teach DT across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Deliver creative, practical and challenging lessons.
• Use assessment to inform teaching and provide targeted support.
• Contribute to development of a dynamic DT curriculum.
• Engage in wider school life and enrichment activities.
